I have a spare copy of OSX Snow Leopard sitting around so I figure I can use that and then upgrade it to OSX Mountain Lion for $20 once it's installed.

Should there be any problems with the hardware/software with this build/OS?

Dear Mr. Janek,

For a mATX build, the H77M-D3H along with the half-height Radeon 6670 seem to be the "system de jour," though I have read many requests for help on the web because the 6670 is not working.

I have tried all the suggestions posted on the web to get my HIS Radeon 6670 to work with my H77M, but to no avail. (My computer case is very compact, and only supports half-height cards with mATX Mother Boards. The 6670 seems to be a very powerful card for the half-height category).

It would be wonderful if Kakewalk would support this very popular combination for both Lion and Mountain Lion.

Thanks for all your trouble. Kakewalk is terrific !

Markss9876

PS - I know that for many other Hackintosh builders as well, the 6670 is a real problem. Some report that it works with various Motherboards, but I have not been able to get the combination of H77M and 6670 to work. My BIOS is set for ACHI and 64-bit, and my Hackintosh works perfectly with the MSI nVidia N210. But the 6670 is a problem, and using GraphicsEnabler=No and -x at boot do not work. That is why a KAKEWALK build that takes care of both boards OOB would be fantastic for many, since this build is so common. Thanks again.

Hi Everyone,

I've assembled all of the components for my first Hackintosh build except for the motherboard. I'll be using an i7-3770 cpu (not unlocked) and I'm currently leaning toward either the GA-Z77X-UD5H or the GA-Z77X-UP5-TH although I have not ruled out an Asus mb. I'm wondering if there is a timeframe for the support of either of these Gigabyte boards in Kakewalk? Yes, I know they are already supported by another well known installer.

Hello,

I'm running a Hackintosh with an old Gigabyte P35 Mainboard.

Everything works fine by using Kakewalk - without editing any plist files manually.

But I plan to upgrade the machine.

First I thought about buying a GIGABYTE Z68MX-UD2H-B3, the most powerful board officially supported by Kakewalk.

But this is a very outdated one. Only available used for about 120 Euro.

If I was free to choose I would prefer to buy an actual board - the GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H - for about 200 Euro.

My question is: Does Kakewalk plan to add some actual mainboards to the Compatibility list in the near future or is there another possibility to get this Z77 chipset board to run without big installation trouble? I need necessarily a firewire-port.

Thank you for your answers!
