Kakewalk 4.1 -> Kakewalk 4.5 when upgrading to Mountain Lion?

My EX58-UD5 has been working well with Kakewalk 4.1 and Lion for some time now. I am considering updating to Mountain Lion. Should I use Kakewalk 4.5 for this or stick with 4.1?

No problems. Only audio Reinstall from multibeast. Newer cuda drivers for GeForce GTX versions.

Will the nVidia GTX 660Ti be compatible? Will these programs work?

It seems, to me, like the compatibility section is outdated so I came here instead. Since I'm aiming to dual boot my new PC build with Windows 7 and Hackintosh, I was just wondering if the 660Ti is compatible? I'm using the Moderate build and I might as well fork out a little extra money if not only it'll work but it'll be better for playing games. I just need to know before I start buying any parts. Thank you.

Also, I'm looking to use Hackintosh for FinalCut Pro AND Logic Pro 9, while I see a lot of success with FinalCut, I never see any word on Logic. Will both programs work? Thank you. (This is also the reason I've put this in the Post Install section)

System won't boot. After delete file boot ok.

running 10.7.3 and kakewalk 4.5, 12gb RAM. My OS is running in 64bit (and needs to).

Each time I'm closing a 32-bit application I get a crash prompt. It doesn't really do any bad besides but still... If you have any clou: thx in advance

I have a gigabyte EP45 UD3LR mb and have updated to 10.8.0 with usb method. I can boot my system from the usb but once booted, when trying to install kakewalk to hd, i get failure to install. The log file says that kakewalk is unable to write system kexts. Why is this happening? Can i do something to install necessary files manualy?

Hi All,

I just setup a Z68MX-UD2H-B3 and wanted to utilize the HD 3000 onboard gpu with 2 monitors. As of now the system reads a generic gpu w/ 64mb ram. I only have one option for screen resolution and both monitors are mirrored. I've looked around and tried other guides, tried tonymac's stuff with modifying dsdt's, read some ideas on kexts.com, not using vga etc.. with no success..

Can I get my build to recognize the hd3000 gpu and display 2 monitors (one extended) with 1080p?

I have a Z68X-UD3H-B3 and would love to get that up and working too..

SETTING DUAL MONITOR BACK TO 1440X900. VIDEO ISSUES

Hello,

I had a working 10.6.4 install and all of a sudden my second monitor lost its resolution.
It is a 19 inch lcd monitor that can be used with max resolution as 1440x900.
Funny thing is that I have another mac install in another hd in the same computer and the second monitor works perfect.

I have a working GEforce 9800 GTX.
first monitor is DVI to a 22 inch lcd monitor 1680x1050.

I am trying to install nvenabler natit and nvinject on s/l/e using kext helper and kext utility to repair permissions but no success.

i am not very good with hackintosh, but I can get away if I have some sort of a guide.
please I would really appreciate any help

Life hacker build that I was happy with for the most part running snow leopard. I'd like to get Lion running on the system, but I've had no luck.
System Specs: EP45-UD3P rev. 1 , Intel C2Q6700 stock speed, 8Gb Crucial DDR-2 (only 4gb for install) HD is a seagate 2.5 SATA drive. Graphics card XFX 6870 (same issues I had with 9800GTX) I used the 9800GTX with Snow Leopard and it was working good. Since you can't use ATI with Snow Leopard and I wanted to upgrade to a newer Gfx card I tried using Lion first on the 9800GTX, then just upgraded to the ATI hoping it would fix this issues... it did not. This is a dual monitor setup!

Method Used: created Lion installer thumbdrive using iBoot and Lion downloaded from app store. I boot with the same bios settings used for Snow Leopard. Install to a fresh harddrive. I setup as GPT, 1 Partition, OSX journaled. Install takes approximately 20 minutes. Reboot, boot from flash drive, pick the new lion install (Macintosh HD), and get only 1 display. configure with a generic user (i'll be using migration assistant later) As soon as I tell it what keyboard I have, if I click on finder it freezes. I constantly get finder freezes. When I open applications or click on "about my mac" I get a strange video issue. Animations are fine, but applications will sometimes load as ghosts. They are almost like watermarks on the screen. I can still interact with them, but they are faint and usually smaller than they should be. closing them and restarting them sometimes fixes this issue. When "about my mac" is up, sometimes when I close it the image remains behind... but it's not able to be interacted with. I'll install Multibeast thinking this resolves the problems, but it doesn't. I'm tried just about everything under multibeast. To my understanding, I should only have to select:
The option to fix permissions (System Utilities)
Kexts: Audio --- ALCXXXHDA, appleHDArollback, then the 889a under non-dsdt HDA-Enabler (onboard sound)
Network --- Lrn2macs realtek drivers
bootloaders - Chimera is the only choice
Custom --- pick the macpro 3.1
On a reboot, I can start without the flash drive. Sound works, but youtube/flash is choppy. Finder continues to freeze, applications still load as ghosts intermittently. I've even tried upgrading to 10.7.3 and before restarting running multibeast with the same options above. Same effect after.

In all my installs, I did randomly get it to work. System was running good, but during migration assistant I inadvertantly over wrote the /extra or /extensions folder with the snow leopard files and it kernel panic'd.

Anyone with the same setup got it working correctly and willing to post exactly what you had to do? I've search for days and read some success stories.

GA-z68x-UDH3-B3 gt430 Blank screen after install PCI Configuration begin

After completing all of step number 4 in the KW instructions, the PC boots and afterwards the screen goes blank. When doing a verbose boot, the last thing you see is [PCI Configuration begin].

I've tried booting with different variations of the following flags to no avail; -v, -f, graphicsenabler=no, graphicsenabler=yes, pcirootuid=no, pcirootuid=yes

When I created the KW flash (in step one), I chose the motherboard, ga-z68x-udh3-b3, and again when do the Step 4 install.

Software is Kakewalk and Mountain Lion

Here is the Hardware:

GA-EP45-UD3P Sound?

Has anyone with the above motherboard had luck with sound? Kakewalk works perfectly with the exception of that.

I've tried mulit-beast, but the ALC885 / 889a install fails every time. Any advise would be appreciated.

I'm running 10.8.2 Latest version of kakewalk

GA-Z68MA-D2H UEFI no sleeping.

Howdy. I'm on UEFI, so I'm not using the default DSDT, but made one myself.

The problem is I can't get the computer to sleep. I have a AMD 7950, which has a bug that causes the display to go white during boot, which only gets fixed once you put the computer to sleep and wakes it again.

I can (in theory, haven't tried it) reflash the F10 bios, but it boots much faster in UEFI, so I'd rather not.

Sound doesn't work

Hi guys,

My sound always used to work in the past (last fully working installation in September; Mountain Lion & Kakewalk 4.5), but since I re-installed OS X last week (with an updated Mountain Lion version) it doesn't anymore for some reason. I tried re-installing a few times, deleting all sound kexts (like AppleHDA.kext) and using Multibeast to install the right drivers (ALC888, no DSDT). Nothing works. No options show up in my sound output preference at all (except Apple TV). I don't know what to do anymore.

I'm using:

- Gigabyte GA-EP43T-USB3 motherboard (installed as Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3LR)

- OS X 10.8.2

- Kakewalk 4.5

I think that's all you need to know. Thank you in advance!
