I have a long lasting relationship with Gigabyte - lol! - but I got this board as a gift since my neighbor decided to go the GA-EP45-UD3R way... I haven't tried yet but I will for sure some time next week. But meanwhile I would like to know if anybody has tried - the specs are quite similar to GA boards... ICH10, etc... I'm talking about the Kakewalk method only...

Roswell.
You MIGHT be able to get it to work using tonymacx86 +macman's iBoot+Multibeast method more successfully than by Kakewalk - Kakewalk basically only supports Giga-Byte boards. See here: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ ... -x-on.html
That alc268 is going to be almost impossible to get sound working on, but there are inexpensive usb sound devices you can try. There is a thread or 2 on insanelymac.com where someone mentioned they had one working but couldn't get onboard sound - if you go there and do a search and pm them they might give you some pointers. In any case, good luck with it!
