[GA-Z68X-UD3H] pseudo insomnia
  • My Hardware:

    GA-Z68X-UD3H rev. 1.3 [F9]
    i7 2600k, 1333 DDR3 GSkill, no GFX yet (HD3000/DVI), Sony optical drive, vintage Seagate SATA HDD

    I installed 10.7.2 following the routine posted by AWSM down to the t (http://kakewalk.se/forums/discussion/2965/success-ga-z68x-ud3h-10.7.x-lion-ethernetaudio-updated-sleep#Item_39)

    KW4.1.1 -> 10.7.0 -> 10.7.2 -> Chimera1.6 -> kexts for ethernet and audio + sleepenabler: skidman=happy camper

    I'm using "MacPro 3.1" in my smbios.plist and haven't changed anything in my boot.plist. Sleep works when pressing the power switch or via menu. Automatic sleep (energy saver control panel) does not work. I can wake up the machine by power switch, not USB keyboard/mouse (I have disabled these items in BIOS, cause I don't want the hack to wake up when tossing the mouse around on my crowded desk). "Wake for network access" in energy saver cp is not checked.

    Problem: My hackintosh wakes up spontaneously, sometimes after 30min, sometimes after a few hours (very annoying, cause it doesn't goes to sleep again after wake up).

    Any ideas?
  • The mostly likely cause is due to Network Activity or the smbios.plist. Double check something you have enabled/disabled in the bios isn't conflicting with the energy saver preferences. Otherwise change the smbios to an iMac 12,1 or 12,2 and double check the flags against mine.

    In energy saver I have:
    Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible and Allow power button to put the computer to sleep enabled with the other 3 options disabled.
