Hello Mr Janek and other keen helpers! :) Please please help and give me your thoughts on this:
I used kakewalk before on my previous EP45UD3LR board and it was fine, but yesterday I took it apart and replaced the insides with: GA-Z86X-UD3H-B3, i72600, 16GB Ram (only 4GB in for install) GPU the same: BFI 8800GT
So to cut a long story short - I cannot even get osx installation to launch, it halts on DSMOS has arrived, before it says ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin: waitfor service apple intel cpupowermanagment timed out then it saysSound assertation ERROR "EFI Rom did not publish hda-gfx...." failed in AppleHDACodec generic at line 350 DSMOS has arrived
That's it... then it just stays there for ever....
I've updated bios to F9 Set HDD to AHCI HPET to 64
I've tried disconnecting all HDD and CDROM to test it it would go further - NO I've tried TonyMAcs Unibeast - doesnt give Sound errors, but halts much quicker on ACPI error with Kernel panic.
PLease help guys, it's been 18h yesterday and 2h today... I'm getting to the point of going to apple and buying Imac even though I'll be using all my overdraft and loans :(((
Yes the newest: Kakewalk 4.1.1 and Lion Absolutelly no luck... tried about 10-15 more times... forgot the count now... Most of the stuff is stuck on ACPI
downloading 10.6.7 now and will try iBoot CD and tonymac guide. next if this doesnt work will try creating kakewalk out of 10.6.7
Any thoughts people? At least tell me to sell back all the parts... I started looking at Imacs i7 on ebay... that's a last resort...
You could have a bad board, does it run Windows or Linux ok? Also if you're going to buy a real Mac get a mini, it's much cheaper. FInally it helps not to bang your head against the wall continuously. Taking a break for a couple of days can give you ideas on what is going wrong.
:))) thanks.... I'm starting to think that the board might be bad... I bought it used... I tried a simple unibeast and lion app install and it just gave KP again on ACPI.... this method is supposed to work....
