I guess your problem is the mainboard which is not supported natively by kakewalk. (correct me if i'm wrong there) I have a geforce 9800 gtx which worked out of the box with kakewalk. My mainboard is a GA-EX58-UD55.
I had a GA-EP35-DS3R (no C) which would run snow leopard just fine. Never tried Lion on that setup and have since retired it. I know setting the bios exactly right and having both a SATA DVD and SATA HD were important. Also, the order that they are connected it important as well. Kakewalk 3 I think worked best for installing OSX on that setup. Might have even been kakewalk 2.3 ... I could be wrong though. This is all from the memory of a man who's been drinking heavily for the past 48 hours.
