Lion 10.7.3 install worked, but online video and qt issues
  • My hardware:
    Gigabyte ep45-ud3p (rev 1.6)
    Intel quad 6600
    Evga 9800 GTX+ 512
    8 gigs of ram

So I installed a fresh copy of lion using the new version of kakewalk. I was having issues with the cmos resetting after each reboot using unibeast. I installed using this guide.

Everything seems OK except for a couple issues.

    1. When viewing youtube or any other video site, the video starts to load and plays 2-6 seconds and then stops. If I drag the bar forward a bit it plays a few more seconds and then stops again. I updated flash and this happens across all browsers. Sys info shows 9800 with 512 of ram and my screen resolution and QE look fine. I was having the same issue with unibeast and clean 10.7.3 also.

    2. If I go to apple.com/trailers and try to download an hd trailer to watch, quicktime pops up saying unable to complete operation. Then if I try and watch a trailer, the web player screen opens and the download progress never starts. If I press play, nothing happens either.

I thought these issues could be related to the network adaptor, so I installed lnx2mac and tried switching the cable from one to the other and no dice. Has anyone had a similar issue?

    Thanks!
