I've got sound working now in mountain lion with this board by downloading multibeast 4.3.2 (an old version available in the downloads archive over at tonymacosx86) and choosing the ALCxx kext and the AppleHDA kext from 10.6.7 options.
This is using the standard kakewalk DSDT for this board.
So it's an old kext and not an ideal solution, but many people seem to be having issues with the new multibeast 888b/887 enablers. Let me know if it works for you guys.
Sorry it was the AppleHDA rollback option in multibeast which reverts to a 10.6.2 version, not 10.6.7. Then just tick the ALC8xxHDA from there as well, and repair permissions.
I have a G41-MT-ES2L running latest Snow Leopard built with Kakewalk (have been running more than a year, it's great).
I am stuck at the first hurdle with ML. I have used the appstore to buy stuff before, so that is not the issue.
When I try to buy Mountain Lion in the appstore I get the message "Mountain Lion is not compatible with this computer". I have made sure the plist says x86_64 and it is reporting 64bit. It has 4 gigs RAM and E4300 CPU
Has any one else had this experience? How did you overcome it. Thx
to antbar :
Thx. E4300 is 64bit.
ok thats good .. try to but ML via Macbook or iMac . then copy make a USB installer via kakewalk
run multi beast 5.0.2 go to drivers> audio >reltek>alc8xxx>with dsdt>alc888> v1000202 legacy and alc888b/887 v1000202legacy , reboot.
