Serious problems installing ML with SSD

    Hi guys, this is my second hackintosh build in a couple months. You can find the components to my build here:  http://www.kakewalk.se/forums/discussion/3975/check-out-my-build-before-i-buy#Item_4


    I have a 256 GB Crucial m4 SSD and I'm trying to install ML.
    During the OSX install process, the kakewalk screen shows, and moves on to the osx installer. The osx install gets stuck, and a small dial shows up showing that it has timed out. Nothing to do but reset it.
    I have set the boot priority to USB first, and the SSD second
    Both the SSD and the HDD are plugged into sata 3.0 ports
    The usb is plugged into a USB 3.0 port directly on the motherboard

    I saw some people having the same issue online, and I had an extra copy of Lion, so I tried installing that until apple resolves the issue.
    However, the same problem arises.

    Any ideas? Thanks for your input!

    USB 3 ports are not supported during the installation. Put USB into USB 2.0 port. Hope it helps.

    Thanks. I ended up pulling my GPU until after the install. Worked fine that way. Must have also used a different USB port. I can't get the USB 3.0 working.
