The Best Motherboard (Thunderbolt)
  • I would love if kakewalk support was added for this motherboard, Not only for the thunderbolt support also its specs.

  • I believe TonyMac supports the up4 TH and up5 TH.  I don't need wifi so the up4 th will be my next board.

  • Thanks i have been using TonyMac but I would like to try for my first time kakewalk with this build.

  • Don't know why people bother with the thunderbolt ports. Cables and peripherals are super expensive and right now and they have limited support on non-Mac hardware. On laptops there might be a point using TB to plug in all your peripherals at once, but what exactly are you going to do with your TB port that your other ports don't do now?

  • If it's your first build, I would go with the most vanilla build possible. There will be kinks, and as you add more items there are more things to fix. If you are just tinkering, it's fine (and fun) but if you are making a production rig, I would stick to the basics.

  • I'm also looking at that motherboard, simply because I have a thunderbolt monitor and want to be able to use that.

    Any updates on this?
    :)
