    Where do I find a list of supportet GPUs. I run a GA-EX58-UD5 with i7-920 prosessor and a Noctura NH-U12P SE2 CPU cooler. My GPU is Nvidia 9800 GT. Everything works well, but the GPU is extremely noisy. I believe the fan is running full speed all the time. I understand that many people have the same problem. I am therefore considering getting a new GPU. Can anyone recommend a quiet GPU that works with Kakewalk and OSX 10.6.4.

    I'v got a ASUS 8800GT and have no problems with the cooler. In fact it's very quiet.

    Try to find a silent pipe version. But then it would not be as powerfull as the 9800GT.
    But NVidia 8500, 8600, 8800, 9400, 9500, 9600 and 9800 are all well supported.

    Or, you can buy one like this with no fan at all if you have enough air flow thru your case to keep it cool.

    I can´t get any of the silent GeForce 8000 and 9000 GPUs in Norway. They are considered out of date by the different stores. I noticed that there is an optional folder in the Kakewalk download package with support for different 4800 series Radeon GPUs. How does this work? I can not find any instructions. If I replace my noisy 9800 GT card with one of the Radeon cards should I just install software from this optional folder by locating the correct card and hitting install. Will it change anything else in my setup.
