After a lot of struggling, I got this combination to work.

I did several installs and here's what happened:

INSTALL #1

Everything went well, until half way through the installation screen my monitor would fall go off. After searching I found out that I needed to manually force the "GraphicsEnabler=Yes" to force GPU injection. This resolved the issue.

INSTALL #2

Everything went very smoothly. Unfortunately, no internet. I manually installed the RealTek drivers and it worked nicely. The major problem was sleep wake. The computer will go to sleep, but cannot be woken up without a system reboot. I read in the forums to try deleting the NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and deleting this gave me a kernel panic that could not be resolved without a re-installation.

INSTALL #3

I went ahead and updated the BIOS to UEFI. Updating the BIOS to UEFI substantially increased the speed of the machine, and sped up the boot time. But now I would get kernel panic at the first screen. I thought this maybe due to Kakewalk issuing its motherboard specific DSDT when UEFI did not require a DSDT. So I tried to fix this by invoking "DSDT=/dev/null GraphicsEnabler=Yes" at the boot prompt and this did the trick. Then once everything was done, I had no internet, no audio, no sleep/wake. I then downloaded TonymacX86's MULTIBEAST and installed that. Deleted the "NullCPUPowerManagement.kext" and then rebooted. Voila, it works!

If anyone needs help with a similar config, always happy to share my experience.

Just as another poster indicated with Kakewalk Moderate for Spring 2013 Build, I am having trouble installing OS X 10.8.3 with Kakewalk despite having bought all the parts and components of Kakewalk Lite (Spring 2013). I settled on Kakewalk, because as a Hackintosh newbie, I've read that Kakewalk provided the simplest way to bootstrap a Hackintosh, without having to deal with MultiBeast, UniBoot, or fiddle with an assortment of kexts. Indeed, I thought the recommended Spring 2013 builds provided a turnkey system for assembling a Hackintosh. Unfortunately, I've found it to be much tougher going than I expected.

Hey guys,

I'm really interested to build a Hackintosh with your project, cause a friend of me told me, that will be the most easiest way. He built his Hac' with your installation-construction 1 year ago and told me, thats the easiest way to the install Mac OSX. I looked in the forum for a similar configuration, but I couldn't find it. I would like to build myy Hackintosh with the following setup:

- i7 3770k (want to overclock, if its possible)

- CPU-Fan Alpenföhn Brocken (Think its maybe only available in germany/swiss/austria, but if you're interested: http://www.alternate.de/html/product/information/pageBuilder.html?kind=pcBuilder&componentType=required&articleId=31283&className=cpufan&activeClassName=cpufan )

- Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H

- Corsair Vengeance 32GB (4×8 GB)

- Nvidia GeForce GTX660

- SanDisk Extreme 120GB

- Seagate Barracuda 2TB

- Corsair TX850

Will this setup work? Could you recommend this? Thank you guys so much.

Best greets from Germany

Kyrt
