PCIe FireWire Unstable

    I bought a Sybex FireWire PCI Card. It worked for a few days then stopped. I replaced it with a new Lacie FireWire 800 PCIe card. Same problem. I notice when I change the slot it works for a day then stops. Anyone know what the problem is?


    My only guess is that I have a 600W PSU, powering 3 Crucial M4 SSDs, 3 2.5" 7200rpm drives, 4x4GB Ram chips, ATI 6870 card, and H70 Water Cooler, Intensity Pro PCIe card, Wireless pcie card and firewire Is this too much for the PSU? I thought it would be enough.

    CPU: i2600k
    GPU: Radeon 6870

    Are you using drivers native to the card(s)?

    Driver is built into the Lacie card's own bios

    Still having this problem. Card works fine in Windows, but its hit or miss on Lion 10.7.2  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
